How it works

Four steps, from the first chat to your site going live. Most small business sites take 2–4 weeks, and you deal with me the whole way through.

  1. A chat

We talk about your business, who your customers are and what the site needs to do. Then I send you a clear quote.

    • A call or a coffee
    • Working out what you need
    • Quote and agreement
  2. Design

I mock up how the site will look. We go back and forth until it feels right for your business, not just for me.

    • Page layouts
    • Matching your brand
    • Rounds of feedback
  3. Build

I code it myself, with no page builders, then test it on phones, tablets and laptops and set it up properly for Google.

    • Hand-written code
    • Tested on every screen size
    • Search engine setup
  4. Launch

Domain connected, security certificate on, final checks done, and it's live. I'm still around afterwards if anything needs changing.

    • Final testing
    • Domain and SSL
    • Go live

What I’ll need from you

The words and photos for your site. These are usually what decides how quickly things move. If you don’t have them, that’s fine: I can help find suitable stock images and write some basic copy.

Feedback on the design. I’d much rather you tell me something isn’t right early on than live with it afterwards.

Your domain, in your name. I’ll walk you through buying it if you don’t have one, so you always own it.

Start with a chat

Tell me a bit about your business and what you're after. I'll get back to you with a free quote, and there's no obligation.
